Esma Cerinan Otović
ESMA CERINAN OTOVIĆ
Esma Cerinan Otović is one of the founders and president of NGO Fit Woman Montenegro. Coming from Izmir (Turkey), in the same city she graduated from the Advertising Business at the Faculty of Communication, Ege University. Thanks to the Erasmus Student Exchange Program, she spent one year in Utrecht, the Netherlands by studying at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, the department of International Communication and Media. During her stay she worked as a television journalist at a local TV station in Rotterdam.
She received a Master Degree after successfully defending the master thesis New Media and Society in Europe, in the department of Communication Studies, Vrije University in Brussels. In addition, she worked as a project associate in an international NGO where she was able to visit important institutions such as the Council of Europe, the European Parliament. She was also involved in organizing numerous youth training courses, student exchanges and other activities aimed at fostering youth activism and promoting European values.
After several years in Istanbul, working in international companies in positions related to the development of business, marketing and digital marketing, she decided in 2017 to move to Herceg Novi, the birthplace of her husband. In this beautiful city she lives with her husband and daughter, she is delighted with all that offered by this city and the rest of the Boka.
Esma sees herself as a person who takes care of a healthy and active life, supports women’s entrepreneurship, believes that women should be more involved in social events, advocates the promotion of conceptuality.
